MedeansHeight Range: 4'8" to 7'2" female, 5'0" to 7'5" male. Medeans are created from Olympian Humans by using a powerful substance called Medea. During the Medean transformation process, a chemical and biological chain-process occurs on a cellular level, changing everything from the humans DNA, genes and chromosomes to protein interactions and pathways. During the Medean Splicing process, the DNA of an Olympian Humans is merged with the DNA of a New Horizon animal. The outcome can never be foreseen beforehand since the process is always different for each individual and a complete mystery to any doctor to this day. Certain animal traits have shown to be very stable and are carried over to the Olympian when he or she goes through the Medean Splicing process. Because of that, special Helixes were developed which offer specific traits upon usage for the new Medean. The Medean transformation process is generally only performed once for each individual, since performing it more than once can be very dangerous, lethal even, and would most likely result in a horrifying abomination. The process can be reversed, but it's usually very expensive. The Medean transformation process is never performed on a Promethean Cyborg since vital organs of a Promethean are usually so closely merged with its technology that during the Medean transformation they are ripped apart from its technology causing instant death. No Promethean Cyborg has ever survived the Medean transformation process, and the process is therefore only performed on Olympian humans. |
